Today begins one of the biggest weeks in the nursing industry — National Nurses Week. This week-long celebration starts with National Nurses Day on May 6, then finishes on May 12, the birthday of quite possibly the world’s most famous nurse and the founder of modern nursing, Florence Nightingale.
This year’s theme is “4 million Reasons to Celebrate” denoting the number of nurses in the United States. To celebrate, the American Nursing Association is hosting a free webinar on May 8. This webinar titled “Nurses4Us: Elevating the Profession!” will discuss insider strategies from top nursing leaders and is incorporating a live Twitter chat to allow nurses to be involved in real time.
To celebrate this momentous week, ePeople is launching a week of gratitude. From historical moments in nursing history and our amazing nurses, to trivia and prizes, this week is all about nurse appreciation.
